Sounddesk produces a crackly sound after 20 or so minutes of use. I've tried setting my buffer size to the highest amount, checked that the sample rates all match up, and my computer isn't using a high amount of cpu power on the application. The audio thread meter in the settings barely hits 5% all the time.

    system config:
    M1 chip macbook pro (2021)
    8gb RAM
run-of-the-mill usb mic (never caused me this problem before)
    Scarlett 2i2 interface (brand new)

I had this as well for a while. I got rid of it somehow but unfortunately don't know exactly what made it happen. What I found worked well is disabling all the audio devices in the All-in One setup that I don't need. Like all my webcams have mics but I'd never use the audio from them. Same with my screens - they have speakers but I'd never use them. So I turned them all off. My Mic is my master at the moment (not sure if that's good or not) but the clicking has stopped. Sample size on my M1 Mac Mini is 1024 - CPU profile is set to Performance.
