Thanks for all your work in creating SoundDesk!
I was wondering what feature, if any, might be coming to a future version. I bought and love the software, but I'm not sure I would be quite comfortable using it for live music/bands, for example.
If there are workflows I haven't thought of, I would be very interested in knowing more, however, I think DCAs/VCAs, and a flip fader mode to mix auxes (especially stereo) would add a ton of usability, and USERS!
you may be interested in the fader group option. Select several tracks and right-click over one of them to expose the contextual menu and hit the Fader Group option to group them (or cmd+G from the menubar). You can control the group from any of the faders, to isolate a fader press the Alt/option key.
A better Aux control is something that is in the works.
Thanks so much for the info. Glad to hear the aux control is already on your radar! Will be welcomed by many, I'm sure.
And, thanks for mentioning the grouping feature. I had explored that before, but for some reason, all the faders snapped to the same level when I would try to control a group. Working great now. I'm thinking I could have a section of "dummy" channels that associate with the groups, but a dedicated fader type that only controlled a group would be awesome.
Thanks again!
