  • Issues saving default SoundDesk Layout or Any layout.
MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports)
    1.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
    16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3
Intel Iris Plus Graphics 645 1536 MB
    Behringer UMC1820 USB Audio INterface

When saving Desk under save the program stores multiple files which all are Zero bytes. When trying to save default it shows unable to save. Need to set up 8 mono channel default layout to match USB interface for live production.

  • I'm also having this issue and looking for a resolution.

    System
    MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2021)
    M1 Max
    64 GB

  • This is not reproducible on either machine running the latest macOS.
Can you share the macOS version?

  • I am on macOS Monterey 12.5.1

This issue did not happen initially but started happening randomly and hasn't gone away. I tried uninstalling and re-installing but that doesn't seem to get rid of all previous settings. Is there a folder that can be backed up and removed to fully reset the application?

I'm still not able to reproduce.

Yes, you can try to restore to default by deleting:

    • User Folder/Library/Application Support/SoundDesk
    • User Folder/Library/Containers/info.loudlab.SoundDesk
  • Deleting folders and re-installing didn't seem to fix the issue.

I was asked to re-activate and all of that went as planned. I did open a previously saved profile prior to attempting to save again. Is there a way to provide screenshots? and/or my saved .sdsk (might not mean much without the same equipment)

At my next opportunity, I will try to delete everything again and not open the saved .sdsk and see if the issue is still present.

Please send those and any other information that you find about this to help@loudlab.info

  • I sent an email with a screenshot of the error received as well as my .sdsk file that appeared to cause the issue.

I just had the opportunity to start fresh again (delete application and all associated folders) and setup all my channels and inputs again, saving after each step. I have not encountered the error again and was also able to set as default without issue.

I will keep track of any changes I make and if the error occurs again.
